Tutor Module 2: Decision Making Basics

Decision making is a learned behavior, not a science. There are three things that affect our decision-making ability: inhibitors, exciters, and higher principles. Only higher principles is a positive influence. Understanding your emotions is critical to the successful resolution of an unpleasant situation.

Through simulation and practice you will learn to reduce your stress, the difference between active and analytical listening, how to interpret and influence attitudes, and how to form an effective loss prevention staff. The case studies provided will illustrate common mistakes that can be easily avoided.
